4 Unique Protein Chia Pudding Recipes

I recently started eating chia pudding again because not only is it delicious, but chia seeds are loaded with nutrients. The only problem is that I get bored of eating the same thing day after day. So I came up with some unique protein chia pudding recipes to keep things interesting!

Chia pudding makes a well balanced breakfast or a sweet treat after dinner. Usually if I'm eating it as dessert I cut the serving size in half so that it's more of a snack size.


One serving of chia seeds contains:

  • 11 grams of fat, nearly 60% of which are Omega-3 Fatty Acids.

  • 4 grams of complete protein, meaning they contain all 9 essential amino acids

  • 2 grams of net carbs, 10/12 carbohydrates are dietary fiber

  • 23% daily value of magnesium

  • 17% daily value of calcium

  • 12% daily value of iron


Each recipe makes 2 meals or 4 snacks


Directions: For each recipe, mix all ingredients together and refrigerate at least 8 hours. Keeps in fridge for up to a week.

Peanut Butter Banana


Peanut Butter Banana Chia Pudding

  • 4 tablespoons chia seeds

  • 1 cup skim milk (or milk of choice)

  • 4 tablespoons powdered peanut butter

  • 1 very ripe banana, mashed

  • 1 scoop vanilla protein powder

Meal - 356 calories, 12g fat, 24g net carb, 28g protein

Snack - 178 calories, 6g fat, 12g net carb, 14g protein



Chocolate Peanut Butter



Chocolate Peanut Butter Chia Pudding

  • 4 tablespoons chia seeds

  • 1 cup skim milk (or milk of choice)

  • 1 scoop chocolate protein powder

  • 4 tablespoons powdered peanut butter

Meal - 332 calories, 12g fat, 14g net carb, 30g protein

Snack - 166 calories, 6g fat, 7g net carb, 15g protein





Apple Cinnamon



Apple Cinnamon Chia Pudding

  • 4 tablespoons chia seeds

  • 1 cup skim milk (or milk of choice)

  • 1 scoop vanilla protein powder

  • 1 medium apple

  • 4 ounces unsweetened applesauce

  • 1/2 tablespoon cinnamon


Meal - 274 calories, 10g fat, 18g net carb, 22g protein

Snack - 137 calories, 5g fat, 9g net carb, 11g protein



Tropical



Tropical Chia Pudding

  • 4 tablespoons chia seeds

  • 2/3 cup full fat coconut milk

  • 1 scoop vanilla protein powder

  • 1/2 cup pineapple, mashed

  • 1/2 cup mango, mashed

  • 1/4 cup water


Meal - 394 calories, 22g fat, 18g net carb, 20g protein

Snack - 197 calories, 11g fat, 9 net carb, 10g protein
