Welcome to Planned Plate by Lauren!

Hi everyone! My name is Lauren and I’m the creator of Planned Plate. I’m so excited to finally be sharing my idea and this content with people (even though the only readers right now are probably my mom and sisters...hey guys!).

The first blog post I ever wrote was actually in 2013 when I started a food blog in my college apartment. I posted maybe five times ever. I totally regret giving up on that and often think about where I might be right now if I had stuck with it. But let’s not dwell on the past. After all, that was a gluten-free, vegetarian blog and I no longer follow that diet!

For the last couple of years I’ve known that I wanted to get into some type of online business revolved around content creation, but I could never think of what I would be able to share. I’ve always felt that I know a little bit about a lot of things, but that I wasn’t enough of an ‘expert’ in anything.

Then one day it clicked. I came up with an idea to help my sister with with her diet. I offered to write her a meal plan. And that’s when it hit me! I’ve been creating meal plans for YEARS! I’ve been meal planning and prepping most of my adult life. And throughout many different diets. Vegetarian, gluten-free, low carb, calorie cutting, Whole 30. I’ve done it all. Combine that with my Food Science background and the research I’ve done in my food development career, this was the path that made sense.

This is where Planned Plate was born! The blog will feature posts about recipes, science behind foods, prepping tips and tricks, and various health and wellness related topics. You can expect to see a new post every Wednesday!
